My ties to the Carolinas go back generations in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. I attended elementary school near Winston-Salem and my life has come full circle since my husband and I moved back to coastal Carolina in 2006.
I have a diverse work and volunteer background that includes a university public relations department, retail back office, the legal and real estate fields and serving as a family support, liaison and communications coordinator for several organizations. I frequently become the resident "tech guru" and crisis trouble-shooter for co-workers, friends and family.
The first web design class I took was when I lived in Austin, Texas, in the late 1990s and the internet was just becoming a household word. Since then I have continued to expand and broaden my technical and communication expertise with a combination of formal instruction, online training and personal research. I have created and managed websites including private and secure sites; designed and maintained internal resources such as proprietary intranet and Sharepoint sites; and, administered and moderated FaceBook pages and groups. Additionally, I have utilized a variety of mass communication programs in the various industries in which I have worked.
I am excited to be a part of the Carolina Traditions winning team.
